Model region for Electromobility

Leipzig is participating in a pilot project under the German government's Electromobility Model Regions programme.

Focus

This multimodal transport scheme is focusing on the use of public transport and commercial vehicles along with the related infrastructure.

Network

Within this project, the Office for Economic Development is coordinating both the Power & Environment Cluster and the automotive and suppliers industry.

Partners

The core partners in the network are regional energy utilities, public transport organisations, universities, research centres, and companies with electromobility experience mainly from the Leipzig region.
