The international energy trade fair enertec – on the market since 2001 and grown continuously – is industry prelude in 2011 and dialogue platform for the energy industry in Germany. With its wide range of energy technology, energy supply, energy services/ energy efficiency and renewable energies, the enertec provides a good overview of holistic energy solutions for a forward-looking supply of energy. It is the leading energy trade fair for the new federal states of Germany. New: In 2011, the enertec is the only platform for decentralized energy technology with its independent exhibition area „enertec decentral“ in Germany. 

Along with decentralized energy technologies („enertec decentral“ with cogeneration and fuel cell technologies), focal points of enertec 2011 are, in particular, energy efficiency technologies, energy services (e.g. load flow management, contracting, energy consulting), future strategies for the energy supply, network concepts/ smart grids, electric mobility, process measurement, control and analysis technologies (including geodata infrastructures and geodata information systems) as well as the area renewable energies with bioenergy as focal point, solar energy and geoenergy.

The enertec is a meeting place for decision makers from industry, trade, supply and disposal companies, consulting engineers and planning offices, for plant operators, municipalities, public offices, housing developers and agriculture. General public from the region who are interested in energy are welcome, too.

Internationally, the enertec focuses on Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe as well as the Commonwealth of Independent States. Regions in the spotlight in 2011: Southeastern Europe and the Russian Federation.

The enertec is held under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. Conceptual sponsors are the German BioEnergy Association, the German Energy and Water Industry Association, the German Federal Association for Cogeneration, the Geocompetence Center in Freiberg, the German Association of Consulting Engineers as well as the German Federal Association of Industrial Energy and Power Industry. Furthermore, the enertec is supported by the thematic partners „Competence Center Bioenergy“ and „the Association for Promoting the Use of Renewable Energies“.

Together with the international environmental trade fair TerraTec, the enertec takes place as a trade fair duo every 2 years. The TerraTec is the only environmental trade fair in Germany in 2011 that offers a wide range of products and services especially for water supply and wastewater disposal, waste/ recycling, soil protection as well as process measurement, control and analysis technologies. Overall topic for the trade fair duo is „decentralized infrastructure solutions in municipal and private supply and disposal“.

enertec 2009 in retrospect: With a growth of 10% in the exhibition space and the number of visitors, the enertec 2009 was a great success. 237 exhibitors from 11 countries and 10.941 visitors from 49 countries came to the enertec 2009. More than 90% of the exhibitors and 85% of the visitors said that they were very satisfied and are planning to participate in enertec 2011 again.
