The international environmental trade fair TerraTec will be held for the twelth time (since 1992) and is the only environmental trade fair in Germany in 2011 that offers a wide range of products and services especially for water supply and wastewater disposal, waste/recycling, soil protection as well as process measurement, control and analysis technologies. It presents sustainable solutions for the environment based on resource efficiency, recycling and water management.

Focal points of TerraTec 2011: The topic decentralized wastewater technologies and systems has established itself in Leipzig and will expand in 2011. Further topics are amongst others technical solutions, adaption strategies and energy potential of the water management, modern sorting and recycling technologies and processes, fuel-oriented waste processing, raw material efficiency through renewable raw materials, innovative measuring, control and analysis systems, area recycling, filter technologies for waste incineration and biogas plants as well as for reducing particulate matter, noise control and personal safety equipment.

TerraTec is the meeting place for decision makers from industry and trade, for municipal and private supply and disposal enterprises, plant operators, municipalities, public authorities, service providers as well as environment-conscious citizens.

Nationally, the TerraTec focuses primarily on the market of the new federal states of Germany. Internationally, it concentrates on the markets of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe as well as the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), especially with regard to exchanging experience and cultivating business relations in the fields of supply and disposal. Regions in the spotlight in 2011: Southeastern Europe and the Russian Federation.

The TerraTec is held under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. Conceptual sponsors are the Training and Demonstration Center for Decentralized Sewage Treatment (BDZ), the German Society for Waste Management, the Saxony Association for Waste Management and Recycling as well as the German Association of Consulting Engineers.

Together with the international energy trade fair enertec, the TerraTec takes place as a trade fair duo every 2 years. In 2011 the enertec is industry prelude and dialogue platform for the energy industry in Germany. With its wide range of energy technologies, energy supply, energy services/ energy efficiency and renewable materials, the enertec provides a good overview of holistic energy solutions for a forward-looking supply of energy. Overall topic for the trade fair duo is „decentralized infrastructure solutions for municipal and private supply and disposal“.

TerraTec 2009 in retrospect: The TerraTec with its stable results and its positive feedback of exhibitors and visitors, once again has underlined its importance as a platform for the environmental industry especially in the new federal states of Germany. 307 exhibitors from 14 countries and 10.468 visitors from 49 countries came to the TerraTec 2009. More than 80% of the exhibitors and visitors said that they were satisfied and are planning to participate in TerraTec 2011 again.
